STRUCTUAL SLAB IN TENAFLY, NJ

Project Highlights:
Atlantic Subsurface Imaging performed Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) scanning of a 12” thick structural concrete slab to find clear areas (no rebar or conduit) prior to core drilling. Core samples were being taken to determine if the quality of the newly-poured concrete was up to specifications. Because the concrete was so new, its moisture content was high enough to affect Atlantic’s radar penetration depth. This made it was necessary to scan the slab from both the top and bottom in order to ensure a clear area. Core drilling was performed by our sister company, Atlantic Concrete Cutting.
